Bob Adams serves the church with a passion to help it thrive by turning challenges into opportunities. As the Lead Church Development Consultant for JH Batten, he works alongside churches so that they can be efficient in their use of ministry resources, therefore becoming effective in accomplishing their vision. Current areas of mission curiosity include the urban ministry context, leadership development, multi-site opportunities, the hospitality factor, team dynamics, creation care, and serving in the culture around us.
Before joining JH Batten in 2004, he served 3 churches for over 23 years as an associate/executive pastor. He is a frequent speaker at national church leadership events including the Church Solutions Expo and the Worship Facilities Conference. He has also contributed articles for Church Solutions, Church Worship & Technology, and Worship Facilities magazines. He writes weekly for Church Solutions e-zine and daily for a personal blog.
Bob’s education background includes a B.S. in Accounting from Tennessee Tech University, a MRE in Church Administration and Communications from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and post-graduate work at Emory University in church business administration. His lifelong pursuit of knowledge continues with a voracious reading regimen, a cherished habit passed on by his dad at an early age.
